How To Repair Your Relationship With Food

Read this if you want to know how we help our clients transform their food habits and their relationship with food, their body, and their confidence permanently.

Our client Eimear couldn’t get a grip on her food issues.

She was well educated and well qualified in nutrition, and yet she was still stuck.

She was eating her emotions - she would eat when she was bored, tired, stressed, excited, happy, and when she didn’t feel like she was good enough.

Eating past the point of fullness.

Her mind was consumed by thoughts about food, why she couldn’t get a grip on her mind, her behaviour, or her food issues, and it was bleeding into every area of her life.

All of which was draining her energy, her ability to focus, her resilience, and her ability to be fully present or actually enjoy her life.

She was stuck in survival mode. Small things would get her and she felt stressed, overwhelmed, and not good enough.

She completely resolved all of these issues in less than 8 weeks, and well over 1 year later, is still completely free.

As she describes in her video:

“Now I’ve complete food freedom… I’ve so much more brain energy to actually put my effort and energy into different things that I love! I’m much more self confident now, I’m not over analysing things, not constantly questioning things… it’s really liberating.”

How is this possible?

Here are the key steps we took her through:

  1. ACCEPT THE REAL PROBLEM IS EMOTIONAL

Through following us online, reading our newsletter and listening to our podcast, Eimear realised that food struggles are first and foremost an emotional problem, and that there was no magical diet that was going to eliminate the obsessive thoughts or the “fuck it!” moments.

  1. RELATIONSHIP WITH SELF

We helped Eimear to repair her relationship with herself by removing the hidden barriers to self worth. If you lack self worth and don’t feel like you’re enough, you’ll always search for escape whether it’s in food, shopping, alcohol, TV or social media.

  1. ELIMINATE PHYSICAL CRAVINGS

When you eat to optimise satiety, satiation, and health properly physical cravings disappear.

  1. ELIMINATE EMOTIONAL CRAVINGS

We taught Eimear to retrain her response to cravings so that they dissolve instead of amplify. Most people’s intuitive approaches like will power, distraction techniques, avoiding trigger foods and avoiding triggering environments make urges, cravings, and food anxiety worse not better.

  1. LEAD WITH EMOTIONAL FITNESS

When your subconscious habits are ruled by perfectionism, overthinking, imposter syndrome, people pleasing, addiction to being busy, the fear of failure and the fear of being judged then you’ll trigger the part of your brain that needs escape over and over again.

  1. LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERFECTIONISM & HIGH STANDARDS

Perfectionism leads to the all or nothing mindset, and constantly being on-the-wagon-off-the-wagon. High standards leads to consistency

  1. LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN APPROPRIATE DEVIATIONS & “FUCK IT!” MOMENTS

There's a huge difference between appropriate deviations from your health standards during exceptional circumstances….

... and a fading of your standards which leads to breaking your own promises to yourself.
